New Fishing Report Concept

Fishing reports on this website have been both a blessing and a curse for me.  On one hand it has created a significant internet presence for my business, given prospective clients a feel for who I am and what I’m aiming for when they book with me, kept existing clients abreast of what I’ve been doing on the river, and maintained a very steady stream of folks wanting to fish in my boats.  The downside to the reports is that they are also read by others with boats who use the reports to figure out where the best place for them to go might be.  I certainly don’t blame them for doing so, in fact I think it’s wise to look at reports in an effort to glean as much information about water conditions and such as possible.

The quality of your trip with me is the thing that drives every decision I make regarding every aspect of my guide business, and I believe that a daily report is compromising your fishing trip by adding unnecessary fishing pressure to sometimes less crowded places we would be fishing.  I have struggled with an answer that not only works for potential new customers, but my existing clients and me as well.  I believe I have come up with a solution that will work for everyone.

By every Sunday evening I will be uploading a series of photographs from the past week of fishing.  We all love looking at fishing pictures when we cannot be on the water, and I hope this will satisfy that part for you.  It will also give you an idea of how things have been without sacrificing the whereabouts.  This new photo compilation will be called “In The Wake Of The Week”.  Every so often there may be a mid-week update if there is a huge storm bearing down on us, if one of my anglers has caught a particularly noteworthy fish, or if I’ve had a cancellation and an opening in my schedule has come available but generally it will be a once a week update.

The first edition of “In The Wake Of The Week” will be Sunday, November 30th.  I hope you like it.
