It's been a frustrating couple of days. Not in the sense that we are not hooking fish, because we are ~ quite a few of them, but they sure aren't staying on the hook. Everybody goes through streaks like this, and I guess that it's my turn. Over the last two days, my clients have hooked 18 steelhead of which we have landed a grand total of five.
All of the northcoast rivers are getting low again; according to the weather, it looks like our next chance of any real rain is a week from now. This has us all in a scramble mode to try and maintain fishing for our clients. If you work hard for them, though, there are fish out there, and you will catch some.
Pictured above are two photos: Clyde Coffman with a steelhead from yesterday, and Diana Hitchcock bear hugging her very first steelhead.
Good Fishing,
John
